STEP ONE: Interactive Survey & Design

Summit Technologies’ comprehensive Interactive Survey & Design process is the first crucial step in our industry-leading project implementation process.
STEP ONE includes

STEPS ONE/a-c provide the information that feeds STEP ONE/d.
The depth of our survey and analysis work enables us to create an appropriate design, and the final result is the robust high-density, high-performance WLAN that is the trademark of every Summit installation.

Process walk-through

  1. Working on-site we perform three surveys: business survey, the site survey and a spectrum analysis. Taken together they build an in-depth profile of your business requirements and accurately map your facility’s physical layout and radio frequency characteristics, including interference.
  2. Using this data, we design a high-density WLAN solution based on our unique and powerful four-channel topology.
  3. While still onsite, we begin a series of interactive, iterative tests to prove and improve the design. We travel throughout the site, installing test cells (transmitters and receivers) and loading them with data and traffic that accurately simulate your real production environment.

We then re-survey the environment, measure network performance, and tune (redesign) the cell until we generate the performance needed to support the documented business requirements. We repeat the process until we have designed and tested all the cells comprising your network.
When we complete STEP ONE, we have not just a design, but a proven design custom-tailored to your business and environment.
